THE RADD COMMERCIAL, ROCKERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING
part 2
this has nothing to do with RADD and the way they are
running their organization they are probably responsible for
saving many lives and the reason a lot of us are still here
today. but they are claiming they have no records that far
back?????
well now they pissed me off when all I was trying to
do was find out about something that I had legal rights to.
being that what I created was used and I just
wanted to see if what I proposed was in anyway related and
I am greeted by the reality of the ballgame.
and the next issue I start naming names every body
that I spoke with and who called me an referring to a
pompous asses comment I want all the money the doors have
to sue my ass off .then we will find out the truth. because they
certainly don't want to give it to me now
when I first sent my letter I wanted to keep it
discrete not to make a big deal of it, didn't mention anything
about money, but I was clear I wanted to find out all about it
,I don't want to make myself look like I was trying to
capitalize on someone's death or embarrass any one publicly or
jump on any bandwagon over this, but after the response I got
from these pompous asses from the lawyers who hide behind their
secretary and won't talk to me and handed it over to the doors
music publisher and the shit he had the nerve to say to me on
the phone ..if you are a bugs bunny fan I'm sure you'll remember
this quote " of course you realize this means war"
Well I contacted the lawyers and the music
publisher and may I say it's every thing I thought it
would be, everything we all dreamed it would be.
First they said "What do you want us to do about it? What
are you looking for, money?" and the old stand
bye, "We have no knowledge of it.". ..The
lawyers....then the publisher said, and I quote,
"Well so what. You may have come up with the idea,
but you can't copyright an idea and you can't prove it. Go
and pay a lawyer and line his pockets with a lot of money."
I wouldn't expect anything else from a pompous ass .. and
he further went on to say, "You may have come up with with
this idea and someone else did at the same time." When I
asked him how long he had been with the Doors , he replied
, "Three years." I laughed because again he
was making assumptions and had no knowledge of it. I
created it fifteen years ago. I told him the whole story
and he stated that he was not going to "further my career
or entertain my calls anymore and would not help me in any
way." He also went on to say (among other stupid
things) "The Doors have so much money that they
will sue your ass off." Just the way the guy talks I
can see him now sitting in his big music publisher's chair with
his name on it, picking his nose all day. In my case, I
have plenty to base this on. If it turns out that I
created the whole concept behind RADD, WHICH IT IS LOOKING
MORE LIKELY, that could have been my career. That
was my idea that someone else took credit for and did not tell
me about. I could understand him if I had no real
basis for this, which was inspired by MADD whom I even contacted
then but I had to wait for permission from the music company.
I also wrote to Ben Edmonds and lay everything out for him.
After contacting RADD, I found out they haven't been
called Rockers Against Drunk Driving for awhile. They are
now Recording Artist Against Drunk Driving which means that the
commercial I heard was made way back then, possibly as I
was submitting the idea - being that they were formed a
year after, or the same time If that was the first
commercial they used that would mean that I actually created
RADD, but someone else is taking credit for it, which is
typical of this business. It's the perfect example of
robbing the little guy. I labored for a year trying to get
this made. I contacted so many people and agencies because
I wanted the idea to become a reality and someone else
steps in and says, "Hey look what I created!"....Back
then I talked to a lot of people trying to get this commercial
made and I'm sure the people I talked to also talked to a
lot of people. I'm curious what genius claims
he or she came up with such a great idea. Someone
else has been living off of my creation for 15 years and
getting my credit, my publicity, my jobs, by living
my destiny. Sure it may be a coincidence that I spent a
year pushing this on them. They had meetings and
loved the idea and refused me (a nobody. Then at the same
time, (coincidentally) of course when the rights to use the song
is available, someone comes up with this great idea.
Coincidentally again, to use the same song I chose.
Coincidentally someone just happened to know and be
able to get the rights that I couldn't get.
Coincidentally. That's a lot of coincidences.
People may think and have asked, Didn't you know about
this before?" I have replied that
I heard one or two commercials and didn't think much of it.
It was just recently that I heard the one that I created on the
air. I then made a call and surfed the web and it started
to fall into place and I can put it to you this way, if
someone created an organization by suppressing you while you
were creating that same organization and using your blood
sweat and tears and ideas because some one you were trying to
persuade for over a year gave it to one of their friends then
you would be doing the same thing too. If you busted your
hump for 20 years and then found out that someone stole your
idea that could have changed the course of your life ,again
this could be a coincident ,but when they can't show you proof
other wise, and you have the proof then it's up to a jury to
decide...........remember save all those correspondences
